Oscars Red Carpet 2009

The Oscars. An event we all anticipate. Congrats to Slum Dog Millionaire for winning 8 Oscars! WOW! The movie was pretty good. However, the Red carpet was what I was more interested in. This year was a bit disappointing. I expected a bit more. Many celebrities dresses weren't very nice. Below are a few that I liked.

The SATC star Sarah Jessica Parker could do no wrong in fashion. I love her ..and her dress. A barley mint, strapless haute couture dress. She looked stunning ..as usual!

Anne Hathoway looked ravishing in a sparking silver and cream strapless Armani Prive dress.

It's black again for Angelina. She wore a very elegant in a simple black
dress by
Elie Saab. I'm not too fond of the Emerald earrings. However she still looked fantastic.

Evan Rachel Wood looked quite elegant and sophisticated for once in a soft champagne Elie Saab dress. Her pale skin contrasted so well with the color of her dress.

Gorgeous Penelope Cruz. She is relief for sore eyes. She looked so pretty and glamorous in a
in a 60 year-old vintage white Pierre Balmain with a sweetheart neckline. She matched it with $3 million worth of jewellery.

Miley Cyrus looked quite nice in a princess ball type dress. I must say, this is the best I've seen her look. She wore a Zuhair Murad ball white gown .

Now for my Not- so favourite.

What was she thinking? I really didn't like it. Fasce wise she looked nice. However her black Marchessa dress just didn't do it for me. Quite disappointed actually.

I'm very 50-50 about Beyonce. At times I'm like" she looks bad". But then I'm like, nah she looks alright. Not too fond of the dress however. A bit of an eye sore if you ask me. She wore a figure hugging, fish tail dress with gold roses all over. This was made by her mother, Tina Knowles

Top Colognes for Men

Below are a few Men's colognes I really like and think would make a nice Valentines Day gift.

1. Black by Bvlgari- A classic and very refreshing Woody, mossy fragrance. Very masculine.

2. Aqua Pour Homme by Bvlgari- A cologne for a self possessed , innovative man. I love the smell. It has a very aromatic aquatic freshness. The bottle is great too.

3. Versace Man- A very elegant and sophisticated scent for men. It's an old forgotten favourite.

4. Envy by Gucci- A very refreshing, spicy lavender fragrance. A blend of musk, amber, nutmeg and ginger. Hmm..

5. Gucci by Gucci- Gucci by Gucci is the signature fragrance for the modern day icon. It has a very strong lasting smell that will leave an impression.

6. Aqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani- My favourite for men. Very casual yet sexy smell with a dash of intimidation.

7. Black Code by Giorgio Armani- A very masculine oriented style. Very fresh but warm at the same time.

8. Brit by Burberry- best fragrance from Burberry yet. A combination of fresh flowers, spices and wood. Very nice.

9. Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier- A strong fresh scent. An all rounder cologne.

10. Individual by MontBlanc- This spicy yet sweet scent has a masculinised floral and a blend of rosemary and lavender. I adore. So does my husband! It's different from the others. So if your looking for different , try this.

So which one is your favourite and which one do you plan to give your loved one for the special day?

Hotties on the Red Carpet

Golden Globes means Fashion! Hollywood stars all decked up and wearing gorgeous couture dresses. The lady who caught my eye was Eva Mendez. I absolutely adore her necklace! It was a Van Cleef & Harpels Turquoise and diamonds Bib necklace. Her dress was a stunning white strapless dress from Dior with an over sized bow on the side. I admit the idea of a huge bow is kind of..err not glamorous but Eva pulled it off!

Now, I'm not that big of a fan of Melissa George but I'm a huge fan of her dress. She wore an ice -blue chiffon Armani gown which featured black lacquer asymmetrical detail at the bust. Very c
lassy and chic.

Miley Cyrus. To be honest i really dislike her. However her dress, was another story. Quite beautiful and too elegant for someone as controversial I think. I also don't think she carried it very elegantly. Shes walking around acting too much like a teenager. However that's just my personal opinion. She wore a gorgeous white strapless Marchessa gown with gold embroidery. The golden pattern inset was Hot! It is so pretty! The fall of the dress was amazing! She doesn't deserve it! I do!!:p Who would have thought, my fav
orite dress of the

Some of my other favourites are Eva Longoria who looked Sexy in a re
d strapless scallop edged Reema Acra dress. Megan Fox, the hottest star there last night. She was on fire! She wore a gold clingy Ralph Lauren dress which showed off her AMAZING hour glass figure. As usual Kate Beckingsale looked stunning in her white strapless mermaid style J.Mendall gown. Quite breathtaking! Even though she was critisized by many, I happen to think Drew Barrymoore looked ravishing in her sky blue off the shoulder John Galliano for Dior gown. This is the most elegant i have seen her and I liked it! Reminded me of Marilyn Monroe. She claims she was inspired by the"opaqueness of a pearl".

Heidi Klum was a big disappointment. Talk about Eew. For someone whose Hosting "Project Runway
" It was a big shock. She wore an 80's inspired black with red polka dotted dress with a large red rosette Galanos dress. Her Christian Louboutin strappy sandals were hot. But that's about all that was hot. Instead of finding it totally RAD I found it totally BAD!

That's all for now. Ta Ta!
